(STURGIS) – An amendment was approved to allow the Moso (moe-so) Village project to get finished.
Wednesday night, the Sturgis City Commission unanimously approved an amendment to a forbearance agreement on the project. Assistant City Manager Andrew Kuk explained that the original agreement between the City, Inquire Partners and Moso Village LLC called for the project to be done in a certain timeframe. In September 2018, those entities entered into a forbearance agreement because the obligations of the Moso Village Project Development Agreement were not completed.
While work has been done to get the project finished, Kuk says there were a few items that were not met according to the original forbearance agreement.
Kuk says this amendment sets some new timelines for certain projects to be completed. LINKC.
The amendment also says by January 2020, a detailed, written estimate on work and costs to complete the project must be finished. Then by January 2021, the project must be completed.
