(STURGIS) – Four people are behind bars on multiple charges following an incident Sunday night.
Sturgis Police were called to investigate a disorderly situation at 11:52 PM in the 500 block of East Hatch Street. Officers arrived and saw an SUV leave the scene and driving erratically. Police stopped the vehicle and questioned the occupants. As the investigation continued, officers grew suspicious of the individuals.
Sturgis K-9 Officer Tucky was called to the scene and altered to the presence of narcotics in the vehicle.
An 18 year old Bronson woman was cited and released for operating with a suspended license. Three Sturgis residents, a 27 year old woman, a 38 year old woman and a 21 year old man, were all arrested for having outstanding warrants. A 28 year old LaGrange man was arrested for possession of methamphetamine.
The four people arrested were taken to the St. Joseph County Jail.
