LANSING, MI - Beginning Monday, July 13th, customers with scheduled appointments must wear a mask to be allowed entry to and during services at the Secretary of State Branch Offices in Michigan.
The measure is a move in conjunction with Governor Whitmer’s Executive Order 2020-147, which was issued Friday. Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer signed an executive order that makes masks mandatory for most people in indoor public spaces and crowded outdoor spaces. It requires businesses to refuse entry to people who do not wear masks, with limited exceptions.
During visits to the Secretary of State Branch Offices, facial coverings must be worn the entire time a customer is in the office, unless a specific activity, such as having a photo taken, requires it to be temporarily removed.
Masks must cover the customer’s nose and mouth.
