(INDIANAPOLIS) – Northeast Indiana is reporting there are 66 new cases of COVID-19.
According to the Indiana State Department of Health, LaGrange County has 3 new cases of the coronavirus. That brings the total number of people infected in the county to 71, and there have been 2 deaths.
Noble County has 7 new COVID-19 cases, which means there are 211 cases in the county. There have also been 21 people who have died from the virus. Steuben County had no new cases. That makes 81 people who have tested positive and 2 people who have died from COVID-19.
DeKalb County has no new cases. They remain at 33 people who have the coronavirus and there has been 1 death in the county. Elkhart County is reporting 62 new cases of COVID-19. That makes 1,163 individuals who have coronavirus and 28 people who have died.
Statewide, 521 new COVID-19 cases have been detected. That means 33,558 people have the virus. In addition, 40 more deaths were reported, making the total number of Hoosiers who have passed away from the virus is 1,946.
The State Department of Health says from Thursday to Friday, 6,857 people were tested for coronavirus. To date, 248,713 people have been tested around Indiana, with 13.5 percent of the tests coming back as positive.
