Coldwater City Council Approves Meeting Electronically
Thursday, April 2, 2020

(COLDWATER) – The Coldwater City Council now has rules to allow them to meet electronically.

During a special meeting Tuesday, which was held electronically, the Council was presented with a resolution that would allow them to meet in this manner. City Attorney Megan Angell explains the resolution was the result of an Executive Order that came from the Governor on March 18. LINKC.

Angell says the Executive Order temporarily side steps the Open Meetings Act. Under the Executive Order, citizens are still allowed to log in to hear and see what is happening during a meeting, and also ask questions or give comments.

The Council unanimously passed the resolution. This will be in effect until at least April 15.
