(STURGIS) – A Sturgis couple are hoping to open a micro brewery on the City's east side.
During a recent meeting, the Sturgis City Commission was presented with a request for a new on-premises tasting room permit to be considered by the Michigan Liquor Control Commission. Sturgis City Clerk Ken Rhodes explains to the Commission about this process. LINKC.
Jack and Carla Rupert are the new owners of Coney Island Pizza, LLC in the Maplecrest Plaza. Mr. Rupert shares how a micro brewery operates. LINKD.
They purchased the Coney Island Pizza building and in addition to the beer, they will serve food. Remodeling will hopefully start soon and they will have capacity for 45 people.
The City Commission approved the Rupert's request and have sent the permit on to the Michigan Liquor Control Commission for their consideration.
