(MARCELLUS) – A suspect has been arrested for breaking into vehicles in Marcellus.

Cass County Sheriff' Richard Behnke says his department responded to a call on January 28 in the 100 block of Read Street in Marcellus for vehicles that had been broken into and multiple items stolen. During the investigation, deputies were able to identify a suspect using surveillance cameras at multiple stores and banks.

On February 15 at 7:45 AM, the suspect was arrested in Constantine for warrants out of Cass County for larceny from a motor vehicle and theft of a financial transaction device.

The suspect is being held in the Cass County Jail and the case remains under investigation.
